This circular crash mat is designed to fit snuggly around the pole or perfectly on top of an x-stage. It has a velcro strip allowing you to easily put it on or take it off. The Lulu mat folds away very easily and is relatively light. It covers a fall range of 2m.

I found that this mat is very easy to set up and I felt comfortable using it to protect me incase I fell. It is a practice mat rather than a mat to use when performing. I like the black version of this mat which also comes in pink and turquoise.

This is perfect for any instructors in a studio who can use them if necessary for their students. It is also good for home use as it can be tidied away easily if necessary.

Lulu Pole Dancing Crash Mat – Pro X £320 (not inc p&p)

This crash mat pro X version boasts the same benefits as the above. It is a thicker version to allow the user to try more advanced tricks. One side is softer than the other and the harder side can be used with heels.

The main disadvantage of this thicker version is that to carry it, it weighs 18kg. It is therefore great if it can be constantly left at home or in the studio.
